Google asks us to fill in the blank: “The Internet is the power to________”

What better place to build a grassroots movement than social media?  That is what Google is aiming to do with their “power of the internet” campaign according to this GigaOM post.

What to do?

Depending on your social channel of choice, simply post “The internet is the power to…(insert your view),” with the hashtag #OurWeb. You can check out what people are saying and join the conversation.

The reason for this movement?  Google’s Take Action site explains the root of the cause.  Basically to put pressure on political efforts around SOPA (Stop Online Privacy Act).  Google says, “Let’s start something. You stood together to stop something. Today, let’s start a conversation about the future of the web and what makes it awesome. Because it’s about more than wires and chips, politicians and companies. It’s about how you use the web every day, to make differences big and small.”  And, they even deployed a cool infographic that just begins to show how rooted we are in the web. So, how would I fill in the blank?

“The Internet is the power to explore, and exploration of new ideas, varying opinions, different cultures, evolving communities, and exciting innovations is exactly what we all need more than ever before.”

The more important question being, how would you?
