Living analog… I didn’t miss a thing

I’m back from a week of livin’ analog. A vacation from work and everything I have grown accustomed to, even reliant upon to function… email, web, Facebook, Twitter, Google Reader, etc.  I must say it was nice to break away from “the stream”, to spend valuable time with family and friends without any distractions.

I have to admit though, once I “reattached”, I was lost in a mass of email, RSS feeds, tweets, FB updates, etc. and I found myself making the decision to simply start fresh. Act like last week never happened.  Why spend the hours to go back and scan the multitude of streams that I missed, realizing that anything good that I did miss will more than likely resurface in another stream this week and next and “catch me up”.  With the exception of email, personal connections on Facebook and Twitter, and comments on my blog,  I just decided to treat last week as a momentary black out.

I guess that in itself is one of the benefits of the digital age we live in… really, nothing is ever missed entirely. You can always go back to see what happened. For me, my time machine is Google Reader, for you it may be another tool.  All I can say is thank you digital livin’ …

I didn’t miss a thing.

My only computer crashed & I wanted to experiment living analogue-ly for as long as I could. 3 weeks was my limit. I spent week 4 trying to retrieve old files from Seagate Replica 500GB & hsnt hv any success. Couldn’t find any solution on Seagate forum too. guess this product is too new.

@yuli 3 weeks – that’s pretty good stamina livin’ analog. Sorry to hear about your PC. Have you tried calling Seagate Support? http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/about/contact_us/
