Centralization is Beautiful

I’m going to jump the gun a bit and talk about something I haven’t shown yet to the rest of the public. Let me give you the backstory.

We were in a staff meeting and someone made the comment about how “centralization is beautiful” and I immediately had to write that down. I didn’t know exactly how I wanted to use that phrase, but given our Seagate Central product, I knew it was too good to pass up.

So a few days go by and then I get the idea of creating a type of mosaic. Something based on things that you’d use the Seagate Central for like movies, music and photography and showcasing that through some eye-popping visuals.

I made the request to our designers giving them an overview of the concept and ended the meeting by saying, “go crazy.”

And they did.  Our designers are talented and really easy to work with. They can easily take a good idea and make it better. You see their hand on all the work they create for Seagate.com, but when you ask them to take the kid gloves off, their whimsy really shines.
