Day Three of PAX East 2012

Today was a great wrap for PAX East. Having spent day’s one and two focusing on games, I decided to spend time time taking picture of the various guests dressed in costume.

Short for Costume Play, Cosplay is basically the hip term for dressing up as your favorite character from comic books, video games, or Anime. You can click on the link for a more extensive breakdown of the term; it’s roots and culture. But for me, I’m fine with it just being a short version of saying “people who dress up in costumes.”

There were a number of people decked out in costumes ranging from the simple to the intricate. Being a gaming, show, it’s no surprise to see characters such from The Legend of Zelda or even Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft.

Yet what was cool was seeing some of the non-traditional outfits such as a Batman & Robin, a version of Alice from Alice: Madness Returns , Easter Bunny or my favorite Colonel Sanders

Check out some of the costumes below. Which is your favorite? Leave a comment below, on Twitter or Facebook or even comment on the photos up on our Flickr and Facebook portals.  You may even see yourself.
