Seagate Game Drive for Xbox, Gears of War 4 Special Edition Portable Drive

The Swarm is coming. Storage upgrade for your Gears of War 4 and 50+ Xbox One games.

Today Seagate announced the Game Drive for Xbox® Gears of War 4 Special Edition 2TB Portable Drive, which boosts Xbox One S and XboxGame-Drive-for-Xbox-Hero-Left-lores One storage capacity. Designed in collaboration with Microsoft and The Coalition®, the studio developing Gears of War 4, the drive’s exterior complements the battle-worn design of Gears of War 4 edition consoles, controllers and accessories announced earlier this week.

Available in limited quantities, this Seagate special edition drive also includes two Gear Packs to help players fight against Gears of War 4’s ferocious new enemies – the Swarm. The Gear Packs unlock special character and weapon skins as well as XP boosting bounties for use with the highly anticipated game set to release in October.

Joining Seagate’s popular line of storage for gamers, the Seagate Game Drive for Xbox® Gears of War 4 Special Edition offers 2TB of capacity to store 50+ Xbox games, plug-and-play functionality and compact size. Players can free up space on their console’s internal drive while consolidating 50+ Xbox games into a single location.

Setup is easy, since the Xbox console automatically detects and assists the user to set up the new drive in seconds. And with USB 3.0 speeds, games playing from the Seagate Game Drive will perform just as  if they were playing from the console’s hard drive.

It is also possible to unplug the Seagate Game Drive and take an entire game library to a friend’s house. It is small enough to slip into a pocket, doesn’t need a power cord, and can store a catalog of downloaded games and achievements for continued game play on any Xbox One S or Xbox One console.

The Seagate Game Drive for Xbox Gears of War 4 Special Edition Portable Drive can be pre-ordered exclusively from GameStop for $99.99. It ships this September (US only) in limited quantities. Get yours while supplies last.
