#JackisBack and it Feels So Good

The following takes place between 4:00PM and 5:00PM…because that’s when I’m writing it.

Who doesn’t love a comeback story? It happened for previous shows like Family Guy and Arrested Development where the show runs its course and is brought back either to another network or another format entirely. (Hey there, Veronica Mars, looking good.)

24 has always been one of my favorite shows and it had a really good run from 2001-2010. Jack Bauer is back to make the world a better place and I couldn’t be happier. Sure, not every episode or story arc during its time was a winner, but 24 was a unique broadcasting experience on par with something you’d see on the big screen that had you on the edge of your seat to see what happened next. You embraced the paranoia of characters not knowing who to trust, and you knew that no one was safe from death – not even Jack Bauer, well…for about the 2 minutes that lasted.

So when 24: Live Another Day was announced bringing back one of my favorite shows, I couldn’t be happier. It’s great to live in a time where in preparation for the show’s return, I was able to hop onto Netflix and catch a few episodes to get me back in the spirit of things. (Let’s ignore the fact that it was more than a few episodes, or even seasons, shall we?) What’s important here is how accessible streaming content is in this digital age and how great it is to get what we want, wherever we want it, whenever we want. I wish getting a pizza was this simple.

24: Live Another Day premiered this past Monday and even though the show will only be 12 episodes instead of the usual 24, it’s sure to be a fun ride. If you never caught the show when it was on before, you can easily jump in now, or power through the show online to get caught up to speed.
