If we are going to be honest with ourselves, no matter how easy we make backing up your content, there’s always going to be that one lazy guy who wants to risk losing his everything simply because he’s lazy. (And no, it’s not me.) Given the time of year, I compare this work a bit to tax preparation. No one wants to do it, but once it’s done, you can’t ignore that feeling of satisfaction.
So, maybe said lazy person should get off their duff and take another look at our Seagate Dashboard. With the latest dashboard update, it’s super easy to backup your data and can even setup scheduled, automatic backups so that you don’t have to be bothered with such a pesky task.
But what’s really on the money is the Seagate Mobile App (available for iOS or Android). With the app, you can send photos or videos through WI-FI from your tablet or smartphone to your hard drive. If you’re anything like me, you’ll likely have a TON of photos while you’ve been out and about that are just taking up precious space on your mobile device. Dump them all on your drive, and then organize them later. We even have some tips and recommendations on how best to accomplish that.
Oh, and let’s not forget social media where you can also download all of your Facebook or Flickr photos to immediately have them at your fingertips. How cool is that?
