Seagate Central – There’s an App for That

I think it’s pretty safe to say that we all know the importance of storage and protecting our stuff, right?  (And thankfully, we make backing up your hard drive a snap!) Be it music, movies or in the cases of a few people I know presentations, you want access to your stuff anywhere/anytime.

Well guess what? We have an app for that.

Available for either iTunes or Android, the Seagate Media App will allow you to access all of your movies, music, photographs or even your documents wherever you are.

This is an amazing time saver for the business traveller who’s always on-the-go but needs to remain connected to important files or even the “supermom” who’s got a car full of kids and needs easy, accessible entertainment to quell the masses.

Better still, this app works with not only the Seagate Central, but our Wireless Plus hard drive as well. Because the Wireless Plus holds more than 500 HD quality movies, why wouldn’t you want to have them at your disposal? So regardless of your device, we’ve got you covered.  What are you waiting for? Download the Seagate Media App today and let the good times roll.

Would be great if there was a Windows Phone version of the app.

Are you considering an app for the windows phone and surface pro? Just bought your Seagate 4t and find it quite frustrating you offer nothing for windows mobile devices.

Yes. Yes we are considering it. All I can say for now though. =)

Just wanted to drop a note of encouragement for Windows Phone app support.

I am switching from Apple so, I am going to be left stranded without that support. It’s a great feature and being able to get my office docs this way would be really nice.

I have found my Central to be a great product and having access anywhere is a feature that I was not sure I would use, but now, I can’t see not having it!

    Thanks!

Have just brought a Central at the same time as buying a windows phone. Asking myself why on earth did I do this? Is there anyway of getting my music to my phone over the net? An app sounds the best way but as we know, it’s not available for the windows phone. Any update welcome before I take it back and buy a wd cloud!

Hey JohnBoy – Definitely have an update in the works, but can’t comment yet on timing. At present, it may have to be a manual process of putting the music onto Central from your computer vs. from the mobile device. But hang tight, updates are coming.

Although not ideal, Windows Phone users can access their data using mobile browser via this link https://remoteaccess.tappin.com/login
