Steve Jobs – In Memoriam

“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” – Steve Jobs

Admittedly, this wasn’t the post I had planned to make today. But when I came into the office today wearing an Apple branded shirt only to check the news to learn today was the one-year anniversary marking the passing of Steve Jobs, well, you definitely learn to heed the cues of the universe.

Over the course of the last few years, I’ve become a fan of Apple products.  I think it started when I got my first iPod. It was silver and had “Property of Superman” engraved on the back. (Silly, I know.)

Shortly after, I got my first Macbook Pro. As I write this on a newer model, I can safely say it’s come a long way in such a short time.

I respect Steve Jobs for being a futurist, a visionary and an innovator. I admire what he’s done for technology and for business. He was not perfect man, but he was a perfect man for a perfect time.  He changed the game making it more fun to play.

Take a look at the infographic below to see the impact that a man like Steve Jobs had on the technology industry. Whether you love Apple, or love Steve Jobs, you have to respect the legacy he left behind.

He really does bare a striking resemblance to Ashton Kutcher in that photo… Hmmm.
