Barracuda XT provides a full 2TB of storage on a 4 disc platform.  Sustained data rates at the outer diameter deliver 138 MB/second – the fastest in the 7200 RPM class. To take advantage of the new SATA 6 Gb/s interface, the Barracuda XT is equipped with a 64MB cache which provides cache efficient applications like video editing and certain PC games to achieve screaming burst rate speeds and improve overall performance.

    Why the technology items r not said what price it is avilabel, So it can be recommended to somebody, it least to me price is certainly a deciding factor. however better is the product, ofcourse it has to be affordable.

      Good point. The suggest retail price for this product is $299. What price you find it for on the web might be a bit lower…
