What If Netflix Isn’t Enough? Explore Seagate Central

If you’ve been following Netflix in the news recently, you’ll see that they’re looking to create more programming geared towards children.  Multiple sources including Mashable and Businessweek have stated that the media streaming giant is looking to target this demographic capitalizing on what’s quickly become an “on-demand world” for programming especially in a society overrun with mobile devices.

As a father, I’m pretty okay with this initiative. While Netflix isn’t used as a “babysitter”, it has been a great resource for family entertainment at home or during the commute.  The company has done a solid job of providing a variety of programs and their original series, Turbo FAST, has been an entertaining way of sustaining a franchise that my son was very interested in.

But I’ve had situations where Netflix isn’t enough and this has made having Seagate Central a great alternative.  With the Seagate Central, not only can we stream movies we already own as tried and true favorites, but we can also change things up a bit letting my son play DJ with his favorite music.  The Seagate Media App is child-friendly so he’s able to access his movies and music at any time from anywhere through his tablet. (Yes, my son has a tablet. Don’t judge!)

Netflix is an amazing service. I’ve been a member since day one…or at least month one…ok, maybe year one – let’s just say a really long time.  But there are times where you’re going to want more options, and when you do, take a look at the Seagate Central.

Movies. Music. Photos. All of your favorite things on one device that you can access anytime you want.
