You’re Living the Luxurious Life and You Don’t Even Know It

Companies like Amazon and Google are determined to make your life easier and that’s a good thing.  Both have a number of features and services that didn’t exist that long ago and when you take a moment and look at their development as part of the technological revolution, you may find you appreciate them more because of it.  There are a number of companies that have contributed to changing the “tech game” but these two have had an incredible impact.

Looking first at Amazon, since its launch in 1994, it’s become a retail giant giving a solid run for the money to brick and mortar chains such as Best Buy, Fry’s and Costco. With recent service additions such as Amazon FreshAmazon Takeout and Delivery and Amazon Elements, there’s little need to ever leave the comfort of your home to battle for parking, deal with traffic congestion and crowded stores.

By becoming a one-stop-shop, Amazon services allow us to accomplish tasks faster so we can spend time doing what matters most. Products like Amazon Fire TV Stick combined with Amazon Takeout and Delivery make the living room the hub for family time on a Friday night. A device like Amazon Echo can act not only as an entertainment portal, but also a learning tool through its Amazon Cloud Services connectivity. This is the essence of life-enhancing change.

How about Google? With its start as a search engine in 1998, this giant has launched several products and services that have definitely made life more convenient. In times of yore, it wasn’t uncommon to curl by the fire on a rainy day with a cup of cocoa and a good, thick book from your library or your local bookstore. You can do the same today from books read from your Google device. Plus, movies and music from the Google Store can be added to your library as fast as you can type them in the search bar.

Google has a plethora of products and services with various practical applications, several of them with one underlying theme: connecting people to information or to one another. Whether it’s communication through Gmail or real-time conversations in Hangouts or through social media via Google+, Google products and services are making the world a smaller, more connected place where people can maintain existing relationships or cultivate new ones. Efficiency and convenience are drivers for technological advancement, and Google is doing their part to make life easy for its audience.

Companies like Amazon and Google are helping people learn to work smart and not work hard. It means that society is using technology to come together, to dispel myths and to make real connections as well as virtual ones – baby steps towards a harmonious coexistence.
