HPE-Discover-2016-London

HPE Discover is a unique, international technology showcase that encourages innovation and collaboration between Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and its trusted technology partners. Held twice a year alternating between Europe and the United States, Discover has steadily become one of the most comprehensive and anticipated events in the high tech industry.

With over 12,000 IT professionals gathering to learn and connect, HPE Discover 2016 in London kicked-off last month with two distinct themes: Technology Speed and Partnerships. And for Seagate, that is what we are all about – extraordinary partnerships that create innovation to our customers and speed at which we drive our market leadership.

At the conference, we had the opportunity to demonstrate this at Discover’s Transformation Zone. The Transformation Zone is the epicenter of Discover where attendees can engage with experts and partners, such as Seagate. Here, attendees took advantage of learning about partner collaborations with HPE and how it could benefit their own unique requirements.

By working closely with HPE for over ten years, we’ve introduced solutions to optimize, scale and create efficiencies in the datacenter, innovate MSA solutions and storage for HPC and accelerate advancements in HDDs, 3PAR enclosures and SSDs.

Seagate was honored to be part of three key technology offerings at the event:

Seagate HPC Storage

Partnered with HPE’s Apollo high-performance computing product, Seagate’s ClusterStorTM line of purpose-built HPC Storage systems provides the best balance of performance, efficiency, reliability and budget requirements base on the end-user’s specific needs.

Seagate Storage Sub-Systems

Seagate works side-by-side with HPE on the development of the several storage family offerings from entry-level through the mid range HPE portfolio. 3PAR StoreServ 7000 and the StoreServ 8000 family of storage offerings combines Seagate’s enclosures and expansion modules with HPE’s controllers and operating system. This collaboration enables the industry-leading Tier-1 storage solution for any workload.

HPE not only provides data storage solutions to large enterprises and datacenters, it also prides itself on providing organizations with limited budgets an entry-level solution through their HPE MSA Storage line. This is made possible in part because MSA leverages Seagate’s unique controller technology combining redundant architecture and intelligent, patented caching technology in order to deliver significant performance improvements over traditional storage system controllers. Better technology plus surprisingly easy setup makes MSA a great choice for smaller, growing businesses.

Seagate HDDs and SSDs

Through Seagate’s broad portfolio of the most efficient HDDs on the market and our flash solutions from Add-In Cards (AICs) to NVMe SSDs in multiple form factors, HPE is able to provide their customers with exactly the right solution for their needs.

Demonstrating unparalleled performance and storage management

Seagate showcased a technology demo of an NVMe storage enclosure designed to provide not only unparalleled performance, but the industry-leading storage management suite Unified System Management (USM). Through our close partnership with OEM partners, we work together to deliver solutions that address the market’s needs with quality and innovation they can trust.

HPE Discover was the ideal venue to illuminate Seagate and HPE’s strengthening partnership and solution development. It was also, as always, a great opportunity to engage with HPE’s customers, system integrators and staff to offer the breadth of our technology and innovation. Similar to the two distinct HPE themes of speed and partnership, Seagate and HPE clearly demonstrated this at the conference. Together, we can fuel our customers’ success, accelerate innovation and set a course for further transformation.
