Recommended Ethernet Cables (Dual port SFP28 1/10/25G Ethernet Ports, Nvidia ConnectX®-4 Lx EN)
The Exos AP BV-1 onboard 25G network controller includes an Nvidia ConnectX-4 Lx EN adapter card that is similar to the Mellanox ConnectX-4 MCX4121A-ACAT Card.

Notes:
- The applicable cables and transceivers for this network controller are listed under the "Validated and Supported" 1GbE Cables, 10GbE Cables and 25GbE Cables sections.
- When using any of the Nvidia hybrid breakout cables (example: MC2609130-003 ETH 40GbE to 4x10GbE, QSFP to 4xSFP+) the single high speed end of the cable (in this case the 40GbE QSFP end) MUST be connected to a switch that supports port breakout.
- The network controllers do NOT support using the hybrid breakout cables to connect from the network controller to multiple ports for connection to other devices.
- Do NOT use the firmware downloads from the Nvidia website for the onboard 25GbE Connect-X 4 NIC. Firmware for this network controller must be obtained directly from Seagate or an authorized Seagate reseller.

- The Nvidia QSA28 module (MAM1Q00A-QSA28) converts a QSFP28 port on the network controller to a SFP28 port for use with 25GbE cables and transceivers.
- The Nvidia QSA module (MAM1Q00A-QSA) converts a QSFP28 port on the network controller to a SFP+ port for use with 10GbE and 1GbE SFP+ cables and transceivers.
- When using any of the Nvidia hybrid breakout cables (example: MCP7F00-A002R30N ETH 100GbE to 4x25GbE, QSFP28 to 4xSFP28) the single high speed end of the cable (in this case the 100GbE QSFP28 end) MUST be connected to the switch.
- The network controllers do NOT support using the hybrid breakout cables to connect 1x QSFP28 100GbE port from the network controller and break out 4x 25GbE SFP28 ports for connection to other devices.
