Will my Seagate drive work with Lion (MacOS 10.7)?

List of compatible devices with MacOS 10.7 (Lion) and related information.

MacOS 10.7 Lion was released to the public in late July 2011 and Seagate has evaluated current product lines to determine which ones will work with it. For our external drive products whose hardware is supported, Apple Time Machine is a very good backup solution.

* Be sure to install the Seagate Diagnostic software which will automatically disable the drive's built-in sleep feature and allow the drive to follow sleep commands from the operating system. This is not required on GoFlex for Mac.

** Some issues (such as blank screens and software hangs) have been observed if the "Reopen windows when logging back in" box is checked during shutdown (a new option in Lion). Uncheck the box to prevent issues until a newer version of software can be released.
