Nexenta presenting at Enterprise 451 Storage Executive Summit

Nexenta, a Seagate Cloud Builder Alliance partner, is presenting at the Enterprise 451 Storage Executive Summit in New York City, Dec. 2. With its innovations in software-defined storage, Nexenta is at the forefront of helping enterprises modernize cloud infrastructure to facilitate cost-efficient yet high-performing combinations of software and industry standard hardware.

Nexenta’s presentation comes at a time when organization are trying to keep IT costs under control while still maintaining the ability to handle record quantities of data. At the same time, budget shifts and data center consolidation mandates have impacted hardware procurement strategies, leading some companies to consider solutions that inject more value into existing assets.

“Software-defined storage is still an emerging term in the industry, but we believe it has the potential to make a significant impact on enterprise storage infrastructure through its ability to enable high-value software to run on commodity hardware,” stated Simon Robinson, Research VP – Storage of The451Group. “This has been Nexenta’s model from day one, and as a visionary in the space, I look forward to them participating in the discussion at our summit.”

On the cloud storage side, products such as NexentaStor have attracted interest as enterprises adjust to the new datacenter landscape. NexentaStor was recently recognized at the Software Virtualization and Cloud Awards, at which it won Storage Management Product of the Year for its high scalability and affordability.

At the Enterprise 451 event, Nexenta CEO Tarkan Maner is emphasizing how these software-defined storage solutions fit comfortably into the current budget environment and give IT departments access to a wide range of features related to security, virtualization and cloud. More specifically, software-defined technologies provide excellent infrastructural support for big data initiatives, social media and mobility projects while protecting companies from vendor lock-in.
