Seagate Presents on Big Data’s Impact to Storage Infrastructure at Teratec Forum

The Teratec Forum,  June 23 & 24 at Campus Polytechnique, Palaiseau in France is a significant event on the high performance (HPC) calendar. For France, Europe and the global HPC community Teratec brings together over 1,000 of the industry’s top international experts from 80+ technological and industrial companies, laboratories and research centers, universities and engineering schools.

The following is an abstract of the presentation, which takes place at 11:00 on Tuesday, 23 June during the show:

“Big Data is changing the nature of storage infrastructure. With the massive build out of Cloud services, mobile applications and open source computing; access, security and management of data has never been so complicated and data storage infrastructure is becoming a very critical component of any information system.

Seagate saw this coming and over the last few years assembled unique capabilities in its Systems and Solutions unit to help enterprise IT leaders to cope with the unprecedented data explosion at multiple Petabyte scale. Performance, accessibility, security and cost are the main benefits of these new technologies which meet several expectations in the areas of Big Data, HPC and Cloud in all business sectors.
