The Seagate 8-bay Rackmount NAS is preinstalled with Seagate NAS OS. To manage the NAS, the administrator can launch the web-based administration tool. Use NAS OS to:

• Allocate the NAS's drives into volumes
• Configure RAID
• Set up the NAS's network connection
• Link the Ethernet ports for performance or protection
• Create shares for data distribution
• Create users and groups for access rights to data
• Create iSCSI targets
• Set up remote access
• Check the health of the NAS
