Frozen disk drive – Day 35

It’s been a cold, hard December

My Seagate FreeAgent Go drive has been frozen in my ice rink for 35 days now.  And what a month! It’s been an Old School winter so far, which is saying a lot in the coldest large city in the U.S.

Here’s why I froze the drive in the first place.

The drive is a little bit deeper in the ice now and a little bit colder.  It looks OK, but we won’t really know until we thaw it out and turn it on.

I’m still taking bets on Ice Out date and whether or not my data survives.  Vote early and often in the comments section below.

dear Seagate freeagant, I think this is quite prophetic, considering the current seriousness of the problems with
the 7200.11 ST31500341AS 1.5TB, many of us are very dissapointed and this will certainly create stigma where seagate drivers are concerned.. Frozen in Ice and in a PC.. 🙁
