An Artistic Side of CES – Ceramics Art Speaker

I love art, but have never been much of an artist.  I can’t even draw stick figures properly because their heads are usually lopsided.  But as I was walking the Venetian Showroom having just left the CES Innovations Showcase (Seagate won for Wireless Plus, Backup Plus and Seagate Central), I passed a booth playing Enya (At least I think it was Enya) that really caught my attention. Not because I haven’t heard Enya in awhile but because of the beauty of the speaker.

Let me introduce you to one of the more elegant items I’ve seen so far at the Consumer Electronics ShowCeramics Art Speaker.

What this company has elegantly done is brought a visual appeal to something that already has an audio one.  Because ceramics are capable of assuming any shape or style, you can see how easy it would be to find something that matches your décor and personality.

Check out this video highlighting the creative process for making these speakers. (Note: You may want to take a class in Japanese.)

You’ll have to contact the company for a full catalogue and pricing information, but trust me when I say you’re not just buying a simple audio accessory with these speakers, you’re buying a true work of art.
