Clouds vs. Meteorites – Who Wins?

Sometimes throughout my travels, I will run into someone who still doesn’t know what the cloud is – specifically in regards to storage technology.  Crazy, I know, but it happens.

By hook or crook, I found this pretty spiffy video courtesy of GCFLearnFree.org that does a really good job explaining what the cloud is and how it’s used.  It’s informative and not too technical where I’m confident that even my lovely, silver-haired grandmother could watch it and walk away feeling technologically illuminated. Cleverly, it sucks you in by opening with a doomsday scenario including a meteorite – hence the blog title.

As I’ve mentioned previously in this post and that post, the cloud definitely has merits as a storage solution. But for true security, you’ll want to consider having a second, external drive for backing up your content like a Seagate Backup Plus.  Having 2TB that can fit in your pocket is a great defense against astronomical phenomenon and the colors are cool too.

Checkout the video below to learn more about what the cloud is and head over to our official site to learn more about Seagate Backup Plus  – a thin and sleek backup solution that’s good to go.
