This past weekend, a majority of American’s indulged in a nap-inducing fest of stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and a heavy dose of turkey whether it was deep fried, grilled, or baked.
But, we Americans not only expanded our waistlines, we indulged our family and friends with over 10 million Thanksgiving-related photos on last Thursday alone…at one point hitting 226 photos per second of food on Instagram alone, according to this Fast Company post and this Elite Daily post. In storage terms that translates to (assuming an average .5MB photo size),
- 5 Terabytes of photos of what else…food
If Terabytes = pounds gained, that sounds about right. We hope your Thanksgiving was photogenic.
