I’ve been hearing about the XT.2 for 2 months. I can’t find a site that has done a review and I haven’t seen a delivery date. Is Seagate trying to kill this product before it hits the shelves?
It’s 2011 and they publish a press release months before the delivery date? Perhaps their marketing dept needs to look up the meaning credibility to understand it’s hard to earn and even harder to earn back.

@Jeff Allen – Hi Jeff. Typically, for enterprise class drives like Pulsar, the announcement and launch focuses on large OEM availability 1st, followed by broader availability through the channel – as was communicated during press interviews for the product. From what I have heard, OEM feedback continues to be very favorable, as has the newly posted SPC-1C test results: http://www.storageperformance.org/results/benchmark_results_spc1c/#c00012. I expect wider channel availability to come within the current quarter. Thanks for your comment. I always appreciate the candid feedback. – Mark
