Be Safe, Not Sorry

Ever locked your keys in the car or better yet, been locked out of your house?

I have – last Friday, in fact. In a rush to get to work, I locked myself out of the house. Here’s the thing – my car was in the shop so I had a loaner vehicle. I knew it was short term so I didn’t put the car key on my ring with my other keys. So in trying to get to work early, I made a mad dash out of the house, grabbed the car key but forgot the others. I made it all the way to the garage (which is also locked) when it hit me what happened. Kind of embarrassing, honestly, and the feeling of helplessness while sitting around thinking of how to solve the problem was also frustrating.

But I had a backup plan. And once I put it into action, everything turned out ok.

So what happens when you apply this situation to data loss? What’s your backup plan if something happens to your hard drive and you lose your photos or your work?

If you’re scratching your head right now thinking “Hmm…” you may want to look at Seagate Rescue & Replace. For a nominal fee, Seagate Rescue & Replace will restore your data should something happen to your storage device – even if it’s not ours. Send us the device, and we’ll send you another with your data already on it. Simple.

Life happens, accidents happen. I was trying to get a good start on my day but the universe had other plans. The same could easily happen to you. For that peace of mind feeling that comes with having a good backup plan, check out Seagate Rescue & Replace. You’ll be happy that you did.
