Qualcomm Looks To Innovate at CES

“Innovation creates growth.” – Gary Shapiro; CEA President

This was a great statement to capture the essence of the Consumer Electronics Show. After being shown examples of how innovation and technology has had an impact on society whether it be through the communication of the fate of Osama Bin-Laden or through the need to support our fellow man effected by the tsunami in Japan, it was clear that innovation is a key component of the CES show and in this keynote we were going to be shown the cool.

And shown the cool we were.

Qualcomm’s Chairman and CEO, Paul E. Jacobs, shortly took stage after being introduced by Mr. Shapiro and immediately began discussing the impact his company was having in the mobile space, healthcare, education, child development, entertainment and several other buckets.

Partners including the Sesame Street Workshop, Lenovo, and Nokia just to name a few demonstrated innovations in these buckets for us through their presentations.

The keynote was strong, powerful and  supported the initial remarks that “innovation is the pulse of CES”. Look for more news about Qualcomm during the show.
